educational and recreational programs

Latvia & the Baltic States

Since the post-Soviet era, our organization has maintained a strong presence in Latvia and the Baltic region. Between 1996 and 1998, we established a logistics center in Riga, coordinating humanitarian aid deliveries from Denmark and Sweden. This effort included:

  • Full renovation of the Prieculi Provincial Hospital, using donated medical equipment and supplies
  • Distribution of clothing, shoes, and toys to orphanages and children’s centers across Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania
  • Development of educational and recreational programs for children in care

Our support is both hands-on and strategic, rooted in long-term partnerships and community trust.

Who We Help 🧒

We serve a wide range of vulnerable groups, with a special focus on:

  • Orphaned and at-risk children
  • Families in post-crisis recovery
  • Medical institutions lacking basic resources
  • Communities in need of social support

Our outreach spans both urban centers and rural areas, ensuring no one is forgotten.

Why We Help 💡

We believe that real transformation happens not only through material aid, but also through shared hope, values, and purpose. Our work in the Baltics is driven by a vision of long-term social and spiritual restoration — empowering local communities to care for one another and grow together.

What We Do Today 🤝

Since 2018, Por Un Mundo Mejor has returned to Latvia to participate in social seminars, conferences, and faith-based gatherings.

Our commitment to the Baltic region continues — from emergency aid to soul-nurturing encouragement, we stand with those rebuilding their future.
